SEMINARS HELD IN 2019
1. Seminar held on 29th April, 2019 on 'Cost Behaviour Analysis and Employment of Labours : Issues and Challenges'. Amidst healthy discussion, a spectrum of immense knowledge was exchanged. Our Honourable guests were Dr. Piyali Chandra Khan and Mr. Sanmoy Mallick, both from Department of Management, University of North Bengal.
2. Seminar conducted at Indian Institute of Legal Studies, on 27th April 2019 in collaboration with The Indian Society of International Law, New Delhi on the topic of 'Right to Freedom of Speech and Expression under National and International Law'.
3. Interdisciplinary Regional Seminar held on 12th April, 2019 on 'Socio-Politico and Economic Development of North Bengal and Sikkim'. The dignitaries present were Ms. Maheswari Kharga, Asst. Prof of Namchi Govt College and Ph.D. Scholar, JNU; Ms. Priyanka Tamang Lama, Asst. Prof. Dept. of Sociology, Ghoom Degree College. Ms. Raina Shah, Sr. Research Fellow, Ashok trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment, Bangalore.
4. The Indian Institute of Legal Studies conducted a seminar on 'Biodiversity with special reference to Conservation of Wildlife : Issues and Challenges' on 30th March 2019. Mr. Dharam Deo Rai, IFS, DFO, Darjeeling, Mr. Vimal Kumar Dubey, IFS, DFO, Jaldapara, and Ms. Nisha. Goswami, IFS, DFO, Gorumara from the Wildlife Division, West Bengal were the Resource Person and Guest of Honour. Along with the student of our College, students from Department of Law, N.B.U, Siliguri College, Pragati B.Ed. College and S.I.E.M., Siliguri participated in the seminar. Sri Joyjit Choudhury, Hon;ble Chairman, Indian Institute of Legal Studies had graced and presided over the entire session.
