Ms. Sufia Sheikh is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Law at Indian Institute of Legal Studies. She has completed B.A., LL. B (Hons.) course from Department of Law, University of North Bengal. She has pursued her LL.M (post-graduation) with specialization in Corporate and Commercial Law from Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University. Her LL.M dissertation was on the topic ‘A study on Trade Secret Protection in India’. She has also qualified NTA UGC-NET twice DEC-2022 & DEC-2021/JUNE-2022 cycle respectively and WBSET 2023.
She has done her internship in Human Life Development and Research centre Matigara a unit of Xavier Educational Society of North Bengal which provides legal and financial aid to women and tea plantation workers through self help groups. She has also published research paper in law journal.
Her areas of interest include Company law, Contract Law, and Intellectual Property Law.
