Ms. Sreeparna Das is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Law at Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Dagapur, Siliguri. She has pursued B.A., Ll.B. (Hons.) Course from Department of law, University of North Bengal. She has pursued her LL.M (post-graduation) with ‘Public Law’ specialization from Department of Law, University of North Bengal. Her LL.M. dissertation was on the topic "A Study on Legal regimes on Prevention of Terrorism in India".
Her working experience includes a position as an intern under the District Legal service Authority, Jalpaiguri and Siliguri Police Station wherein she was involved in studying and analyzing different criminal cases which includes child trafficking, acid attacks, domestic violence and murders etc. She has also gathered experiences as an intern under reputed civil and criminal lawyers in Siliguri.
To add to her credit, she has attended and presented papers in several national and regional seminars. She has actively participated in national level Moot Court Competition and Mock Trial Competition in Rajiv Gandhi School of Property Law, IIT Kharagpur and National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi respectively. Beside these, she has always been an active participant in several national, state-level and regional level quiz, debate and elocution competitions. She has also authored an article titled "Marital Rape" in a reputed magazine namely 'India Legal'.
Her area of interest include Public International Law, Criminal Laws, Constitutional Law, Human Rights.
