Pritee Kishore is currently working as Assistant Professor of Law at Indian Institute of Legal Studies. She has submitted her Ph. D. Thesis on the topic “Domestic Violence against Working Women in India” at the Central University of South Bihar, Gaya. She holds Master of Laws (LL.M) from the same University with a commendable CGPA of 7.58, achieved in the 2019-20 academic year, following her B.Sc LL.B (Hons.) where she excelled with a CGPA of 9.0, equivalent to 90%, during the period of 2014-2019.
Additionally, Pritee’s academic progress is further demonstrated through her successful qualification in the UGC-NET Examination and the All India Bar Examination XV (AIBE- XV) in 2021.
Her research work showcases a deep and nuanced understanding of legal issues, particularly those affecting women in India. One of her notable publications, “Role of Economic Empowerment in Mitigating Domestic Violence,” published in the journal Atishay Kalit. Another significant piece, “Domestic Violence against Working Women in India with Special Reference to Gaya District of Bihar,” published in Samdarshi Journal, takes a closer look at the challenges faced by working women in a specific geographical area. Her paper on “Regional Variation in Terms of Women Police Personnel,” published in the International Journal of Law, examines the distribution and roles of women in police forces across different regions. Her involvement in conferences further amplifies her commitment to legal scholarship and advocacy.
Presenting a paper on “Domestic Violence against Women: An Indian Perspective” at a national seminar organized by Vivekananda School of Law and Legal Studies in collaboration with the National Commission for Women. Another conference presentation at BHU on the “Challenges faced by Women both at Home and Workplace with special reference to Women Police Officers” brought to light the dual burdens shouldered by women in the workforce, especially those in law enforcement.
Her co-curricular activities are as diverse as they are impressive, ranging from attending seminars on Human Rights, Public Interest Litigation, and International Law.
