Rituraj Bhowal hadcompleted Master of Laws [LL.M. (Specialization: Public Law)] from the Department of Law, University of North Bengal with first class first positionin the university. During his post-graduation, he worked under several legal research projects of the university, such as, National Education Policy, 2020, Child Trafficking etc. He was also the member of the Editorial Board (as editorial assistant) of the UGC-CARE listed journal, named, Indian Journal of Law and Justice. He hadalso secured first class first position in his graduation course [B.A., LL.B. (Hons.)] in University of North Bengal. He has keen interest multi-disciplinary legal research involving human rights, constitutional law, state-of-the-art technology etc. He has actively participated and presented research papers in various national and international seminars on emerging legal issues. He also made contribution to the legal academia bypublishing his research articles in severalUGC CARE, Web of Science and SCOPUS indexed journals. He has also authored one book on Artificial Intelligence and Law published by Central Law Publications. During his graduation he actively participated and achieved awards in various competitions such as, Moot Court, Mock Trial, Client Counselling etc. He represented the Department of Law, University of North Bengal as a student ambassador in TIP Conclave at U.S. Consulate General, American Centre, Kolkata. He also held the positions of student representative in Moot Court Society, Anti-Human Trafficking Club of the Department of Law. Apart from academic activities, he has founded a non-governmental, philanthropic organisation, named, Sarathi Legal Aid Society, which provides free legal aid in various district of northern part of West Bengal.
