Free Legal Awareness Session conducted at West Point School, Matigara, Siliguri on 10-05-2023

The team comprised of:
1. Mr. Saurabh Chakraborty (Assistant Professor of Law)
2. Mr. Arkaprava Bhattacharya (BBA LLB (Honours) 10Th Semester Student)
3. Mr. Subhankar Ghosh (BA LLB (Honours) 8Th Semester Student)
4. Ms. Anisha Saraf (BBA LLB (Honours) 6Th Semester Student)

The programme started at 10:00 am in a hall composed of students from classes 11 and 12. Mr. Saurabh Chakraborty, introduced the students to the concept of legal awareness and how it is necessary to know their rights in order to understand that they have been violated.

The first speaker, Mr. Arkaprava Bhattacharya, dealt with the topic of "Digital India". The second speaker Subhankar Ghosh took up the topic of "Right to Privacy". The third speaker Ms. Anisha Saraf, dealt with the topic of "Drug Abuse".

The students of the school were quite excited to learn more on the topics that had been discussed and asked many questions regarding the topics as well as regarding law as a career. Overall it was quite a successful session.
