We are delighted to announce that the Indian Institute of Legal Studies conducted an impactful Legal Awareness Session on the pressing issues regarding EARLY CHILD MARRIAGE & DOMESTIC VIOLENCE for the guardians of the students of Kallej Valley.
This session aimed to empower and educate the community members on these two burning issues.
Early child marriage is a critical concern in many corners of our world. This session mainly focused on making people aware of the consequences, especially on women's health, education, and well-being in cases of early child marriage as it leads to access to limited educational opportunities and unsafe maternal practices. Similarly, this session also focused on the legal rights that women have in cases of domestic violence which is a pervasive issue that undermines the dignity and human rights of every single woman who is subjected to domestic violence.
The session was interactive, with community members actively participating and engaging with the speakers. This initiative not only enhanced their legal knowledge but also made them understand the negative impacts of early child marriage and domestic violence.
