On the 29th day of September 2023, at the school premises of SALUGARA  HIGH SCHOOL, SILIGURI The Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Siliguri conducted a Free Legal Awareness Program.

The Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Siliguri conducted a Free Legal Awareness Program at Salugara High School, Siliguri on 29.09.2023. The program aimed to provide socio-legal knowledge to the senior students of Classes XI and XII on notable topics  inclusive of:

1. CYBER CRIME
2. CHILD MARRIAGE
3. POCSO ACT,2012

The Legal Awareness Program encouraged the students to discuss the problems faced by them in day to day life through an interactive session.

The speakers tried to enlighten the attendees by giving them examples from real life scenarios which in turn helped the attendees to understand the problems of cyber crimes and other related topics.

The attendees were also given the opportunity to ask their queries which helped them to clear their doubts and understand the crucial socio-legal topics while knowing about their rights and duties as a consumer of the online data.

In the end, it can be concluded that the free legal awareness program conducted at Salugara High School, Siliguri enriched the students with their legal rights on various crucial topics as well as career counseling. The program overall aimed at a holistic development of the students of Salugara High School, Siliguri.
