The Legal Aid Committee of the Indian Institute of Legal Studies held an educational seminar at Saptashri Gyanpeeth, Kalimpong on three significant topics. The session strives to raise awareness and provide legal assistance to students about Cyber Trafficking in India, the Right to Privacy, and the POCSO Act.
The first topic of discussion was Cyber Trafficking in India, which highlighted the country's growing problem of cyber exploitation and trafficking.
The second topic, Right to Privacy, focuses on individuals' fundamental right to privacy and the legislation that is in place to safeguard it.
The POCSO Act, the third topic, addressed the regulations that were in place to protect minors from sexual exploitation and abuse. The presentation informed students regarding the various types of sexual abuse.
Overall, the session was a success in educating students on important legal issues and providing legal aid to that in need. The Legal Aid Committee hopes to conduct more such sessions in the future to spread awareness and provide assistance to that in need.
