Free Legal Aid & Awareness Program at Pedong Gram Panchayat Meeting Hall, Pedong, Kalimpong

The Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Siliguri has been conducting free legal awareness programs in various schools, Gram Panchayats, NGO's and other institutions located in North Bengal, with the students and the teachers participating in the program. The program aims to empower the participants of such awareness programs with the knowledge of their legal rights and duties, creating legal literacy and generating awareness among individuals regarding the contemporary socio-legal issues.

Free Legal Aid & Awareness Program was conducted at Pedong Gram Panchayat Meeting Hall, Pedong, Kalimpong in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority, Kalimpong and Block Development Officer, Pedong.

The program was further graced by the presence of eminent persons as follows (1) Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Kalimpong; (2) Block Development Officer, Pedong; (3) Pradhan, Pedong Gram Panchayat; (4) Upa Pradhan, Pedong Gram Panchayat; (5) Gram Panchayat Member(s), Pedong Gram Panchayat; (6) Member of Bal Suraksha Abhiyan Trust, Pedong (NGO).
