Field Visit For Empirical research Work On 19th May, 2023

On 19th May, 2023, the students of 8th semester B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) visited the Apna Ghar Old Age Home of Mahavir International for the purpose of conducting their empirical research on the topic, "Protection of Rights of the Elderly persons in Old Age Homes in Siliguri". The students are working on this research project under the supervision and guidance of Mrs. Tridipa Sehanobis Das, Assistant Professor of Law and she accompanied the students in the said visit.

The students had an opportunity to interact with elderly persons who are deprived of their home and other fundamental rights. They also had an interactive session with the Manager and other staff members of the organisation.

The main aim of the project is to address the plight of the Elderly persons and their rights. On the other hand the students have the opportunity to gather practical knowledge and experience on the research topic.

The whole process of interaction and data collection was guided by the supervisor in the project.
