A team from the Indian Institute Of Legal Studies, led law by professor Ms SAMIRA  ALAM, conducted a special empirical survey on HEALTH LAW. Their empirical work focused on the availibility of ambulance services in hospital.

The survey began in NEW JALPAIGURI RAILWAY HOSPITAL, where the team met DR BARMAN. They discussed about how the ambulance services are provided to the patients, how many ambulances are there in the hospital, they talked about the changes that are required for the better ambulances services in which they have applied for AIR AMBULANCES so that the patients feel more comfortable.

Next, the team headed to DR PARATIMA BISWAS in which she elaborated about the areas where the railway hospitals ambulances services are provided, she discussed about the UMID CARD which is provided to all the railway workmens by which they get proper medical facilities for free.

Finally, the team concluded their survey by speaking with the ambulance incharge MR SUDIP PAUL where he elaborated that they have two ambulances but only one of them is fully fucntioning and they applied to the RAILWAY MINISTRY for the two more proper functioning ambulances.
