Ms. Jyoti Das has completed her B.A.LL.B (Hons.) from Department of Law, University of North Bengal with First Class. Later she enrolled herself for her Post Graduation in Law (specialisation in Human Rights and Duties Education) in the Department of Law, Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University. The title of her dissertation was "Cruelty Against Husbands In India and Protective Laws for Women: A Study With Special Reference to District Cooch Behar", under the supervision of Professor (Dr.) Rajendra Dhar Dubey.
She has keen interest in multi-disciplinary legal research in the field of Human Rights. She also represented the Department of Law, Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University in various Legal Awareness Programmes.
Apart from academic activities she is also serving as Secretary of a Non-Governmental Organisation named 'Prayash Incandescent of Legal Rights', which serves by creating legal awareness and providing free legal aid.
Her areas of interest include Human Rights, Environmental Law, International Law, Administrative Law, International Law, Labour Jurisprudence, Health law.
