Legal Awareness Camps are essential tools for empowering individuals by educating them about their rights and responsibilities. These camps act as a bridge between legal institutions and society, helping people understand complex legal processes in simpler terms. This is especially vital in rural and underprivileged areas where access to legal resources is limited.
To address this problem, a Legal Awareness Camp was organized by the Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Coochbehar, on 03.10.24, at Takagach Village in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority, Cooch Behar where various issues were identified and addressed, such as problems related to property, water, and land.
During the camp, the participants identified real-life problems faced by the community, such as property, water, and land-related disputes.
