Felicitation of Shri Joyjit Choudhury, The First Additional Advocate General, Government of West Bengal, Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta Circuit Bench of Jalpaiguri

Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar, a premiere and a first law college in Cooch Behar has organized a programme to felicitate Shri. Joyjit Choudhury, Hon'ble Founder Chairman, Indian Institute of Legal Studies, for his much deserved and befitting achievement of becoming the Ld. Additional Advocate General at the Jalpaiguri Circuit Bench of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta. The Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar & their entire fraternities feel honoured for this much awaited triumph and milestone that he had achieved in his early career of legal professional. Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar is a unit of Ashwini Choudhury Educational Trust that was established in the year 2018 under the stewardship and leadership of Mr. Joyjit Choudhury, Chairman, Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar.

The programme was steered by the faculty members of the Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar in which firstly, Dr. Jayati Kharga, Principal in Charge of Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar had received Hon’ble Joyjit Choudhury in the college. Then inaugural session begin by lighting the lamps by Hon’ble Joyjit Choudhury and the faculty members of the Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar, which is a traditional Indian practice symbolizing the removal of darkness and the bringing of light after which we witnesses the Rabindra Sangeet sung by the students of law. Then we proceed towards the second session named as felicitation event in which Dr. Jayati Kharga had felicitated and read the citation for Hon’ble Joyjit Choudhury and then faculty members had felicitated with speech to honorable Mr. Joyjit Choudhury, founder and chairman of Indian Institute of Legal Studies for achieving new heights in his legal profession career by becoming the first Ld. Additional Advocate General at the Jalpaiguri Circuit Bench of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta. After the felicitation by faculty members, now in the third session we witnesses felicitation cum speech representing each class by the talented LLB/B.A. LLB (H) students of Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar and then by the non-teaching staffs. After the end of third session, we moved towards the end of programme by valedictory session, in which Shri. Joyjit Choudhury had address the valedictory session to students, faculty and non-faculty members in the hall through his charismatic speech about the scope of legal profession and his roller coaster journey till date in his legal profession career to the audience which inspire and motivate everyone sitting in hall as witnessing the felicitation programme in this great occasion and achievement. Lastly the programme ends with the vote of thanks given by the host of this programme to the Hon'ble Shri Joyjit Choudhury. The college had the privilege to have Shri. Joyjit Choudhury to honour him in his biggest triumph and were aptly felicitated by the college authority. The felicitation programme has been successfully conducted by the entire fraternity of Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar.
