The Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar has conducted a field visit at the Regional Transport Office. As per the curriculum of the LL.B. Sem-III and B.A.LL.B.(H) Sem-VI we have the subject titled as Service Learning Under Motor Vehicles Act 1988.
This visit was designed to provide them with practical exposure and a hands-on understanding of the RTO's operations and its significance in public administration. By observing the day-to-day functioning of the office, students were able to learn about various responsibilities handled by the RTO, such as vehicle registration, issuance of driving licenses, enforcement of traffic laws, and ensuring road safety.
The primary aim of this visit was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, enabling students to develop a comprehensive understanding of how the RTO contributes to governance and plays a crucial role in regulating transportation systems. Such experiences are essential for fostering deeper insights into administrative processes and preparing students for real-world challenges in the field of law and governance.
