Human Resource Management is the modern technique to deal and handle the workforce.  Initially during the advent of the management especially during Industrial revolution, owner’s job was to effectively utilise the workforce to generate maximum output. The scenario has changed in the 21st century; concept of personnel management has changed to human resource management. Now the organization has look after the welfare aspect as well as other related ally that workforce encounter during the time of their work.

Human Resource Planning is the planning process to forecast the future human resource requirements of the organization and also to look that how effectively the present workforce can meet the organizational goals and objectives.

Human Resource planning is essentially required to help the organization:-

HR Managers look after the future human resource requirements to meet the future demand.

  • HR Managers keeps a close bird’s view, to place right person in the right place.
  • Shifting workforce market is the major challenge and hurdle for an organization; HR managers keep a check in it.
  • Considering the organizational goals and objectives, HR managers harbour the appropriate talent, skills and abilities.

Human Resource Planning involves four steps:-

1. Look after the current Human Resource supply-

Checking the current Human Resource policy and measuring their skills and abilities.

2. Monitor the future Human Resource Demand-

with respect to the organization future goal checking the current Human Resource abilities and need for more Human Resources.

3. Forecast Demand –

With respect to the expansion of the organization goals and objectives demand for more Human Resource can be presumed.

4.  Stipulates the Human Resource Sourcing Strategy and Implementation-

After following the above mentioned steps strategy to recruit and update the Human Resource has to be done and thereby implement the same to meet the organizations vision and mission.
